Portable Vaporizers

Why Buy A Portable Vaporizer?

Portable vaporizers are the future! I truly believe that one day we will see portable vaporizers replace many of the devices we currently use today. The tobacco industry has found its way to profit off of vaporizers with the current electronic cigarette craze. These small and portable vaporizers are the first mainstream use of vapor technology and the results are really rather impressive!
I have had two major hesitations about 5 vaporizers as I’ve considered them: first, most of the vapes on the market are too damned expensive. When you go from being used to spending at most $140 on a good glass bubbler to $200 on a vaporizer, there’s pause. The other thing: I like to smoke on the go, and as such, considering I wanted to switch to vapor anyway, have been shopping around for portables. The good thing about the portables is that they’re both a) cheaper than the in-home vaporizer models and b) because they’re meant to be portable, tend to look better. The problem? Most aren’t nearly as efficient or effective as the in-home models. Three of the best portables are Iolite’s I-Inhale, the Vapor Buddy, and the Vapor Genie. Each has their own websites, and each has tons of materials describing them. If you’re still not convinced by their sites, then walk into a head shop and talk to a clerk. Here are my immediate thoughts on them:

Those of you hipsters out there will probably gravitate towards the I-inhale, which is essentially a portable version of the larger models already reviewed and sold here. The other two– really the A– and B-type of the same convection vaporizer– are both cheaper (at just over the price of the conventional bowl) and easier to conceal if the need arises. The I-inhale is a hand-held push button deal, and both the Vapor Buddy and Vapor Genie are shaped like and operate in the same way that conventional bowls do.

Of those three, I’d go with the Vapor Genie every time. Let’s disregard for the moment that the folks at Vapor Genie have gone on a smear campaign against the makers of the Vapor Buddy (look them up. Funny stuff!): they didn’t really need to. The Vapor Genie has taken the concept of vaporization and made the portables stylish AND smokeless, which is a feat that few other companies in the vape market have been able to do successfully.
